Our Montessori
“The education of a small child, therefore, does not aim at preparing him for school, but for life.” -Dr. Maria Montessori
Children aged 2-6 years at Tots Corner Montessori spend their absorbent years learning with their teachers individually most of the time, and other times in small groups within a mixed-age classroom. Each child works at their own pace and is encouraged and inspired to repeat the work as often as necessary for mastery. Children move freely throughout the classroom and have access to many beautiful Montessori apparatus and materials displayed in child-height cabinets. Activities presented to them are carefully selected based on the Montessori curriculum. The Montessori curriculum offers children five key areas of study: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, and Culture. The Montessori way of learning integrates specifically designed Montessori apparatuses; these materials/apparatuses help the child learn through hands-on use and exploration, through continued use, they develop a concrete understanding of abstract concepts. Children are helped, encouraged, and guided to practice and repeat until they develop a foundational understanding of each material and master the core competencies within each curriculum area independently. You won’t see the teacher standing at a chalkboard at the front of the classroom; rather, she will be down at the children’s level, engaged with one student or a small group until they gain independence. Children enjoy outdoor recess every day if weather permits or an indoor dance session to encourage physical development.
Children grow in mind and body, happy and confident in virtue and knowledge in our caring and nurturing house of children.

“(the two teachers) are phenomenal.”
After researching and observing 4 other Montessori daycares in the South end of Wpg, we decided to try Tots Corner. It was the best decision we made for our children. Miss Shanase and Roshan ( the two teachers ) are phenomenal. They are caring, ethical, responsible and look after your children like they are their own. Tots Corner is a home daycare in a new house in Bridgewater that is immaculately organized, clean, and very safe. The children go outside everyday; it has a beautiful backyard with a play structure, garden, sandbox, and lots of green grass. Drop-off was a breeze as the toddlers were always happy to see Miss Shanase and felt safe there. She has a gift for caring for children that you can not find in other facilities.

“you hit the jackpot. Best daycare in MB!“
My children were there from age 2-5 and entered kindergarten at grade 2 level in reading/math because of all the early education they did with them. The academics they teach at such a young age is unprecedented…and they make it so fun! The kids love all the music, games, and creative play they do. If you can get your child in here, you hit the jackpot. Best daycare in MB!

“the greatest investment in my child’s future“
Tots Corner Montessori has been the greatest investment in my child’s future hands down and nothing that has come after can beat the quality and value this Montessori has offered my daughter. The curriculum is designed for a full spectrum influence and it moves the child many years ahead in academics. My child is advanced in reading and math. She could do mental math and memorized all her tables in the third year before kindergarten. She is going to the fourth grade and her teachers at school say that she can go to fifth grade and I can thank Tots Montessori for the advancement.
